As part of a comprehensive accessibility and diversity program at the University of Central Florida, This Is Who I Am aims to start a paradigm shift regarding the perception of disability, not just in higher education but also in society as a whole. Following the compelling stories of students and teachers, this piece shows how they celebrate life despite living in a society where the general view of disability is that it is bad and undesirable. Through the daily lives of our participants, we see how each human being is unique, and how disability does not mean the end of one’s dreams. The hope is that viewers will grow in awareness of their attitudes toward people with disabilities so that they themselves are not barriers for others.
